Nurturing Empowerment from Personal Struggles

Welcome to FemFirst, where the seeds of our organization were sown in the personal journey of our founder, Dr. Sneha Shah. Her story, from vulnerability to strength, is the heartbeat of FemFirst.

Dr. Sneha Shah’s Personal Odyssey:

Sneha’s journey is one of transformation – from feeling powerless and traumatized to embracing power and fearlessness, a narrative that defines the essence of FemFirst. As a mother of two beautiful daughters, Sneha’s entry into the world of motherhood was clouded by her experiences in the Ob/Gyn department of private hospitals. She yearned for a normal, respectful birthing experience but was met with interventions, shaming, and a lack of consent.

With her second pregnancy, the allure of a vaginal birth turned into deceit and threats. Despite opting for a repeat C-section, this time, it was on Sneha’s terms. She held her newborn immediately, followed the golden hour, and experienced a fulfilling postpartum. This marked the beginning of Sneha’s mission – to empower women in their birthing experiences and fight against unnecessary interventions.

The Birth of FemFirst:

FemFirst didn’t simply come into existence; it surfaced from a profound call for transformation in maternity care. Motivated by Sneha’s personal encounters, she committed herself to providing evidence-based care, championing natural births, and questioning the excessive medicalization of childbirth. Her path served as inspiration for a group of kindred spirits, each having endured the challenges of over-medicalization, to unite with her in empowering women through attentive, empathetic, and skillful care..

Our Services, A Natural Extension:

FemFirst is more than a service provider; it’s a manifestation of a vision to reshape women’s reproductive experiences. Our services, from Period Education to Well Women Care, are a natural extension of this commitment. Whether it’s providing childbirth education, supporting breastfeeding, or helping women return to work, each service is imbued with the ethos of empowerment.

Join us on this journey of transformation, where we are not just a healthcare provider but a beacon of strength and resilience. FemFirst is here to guide every woman towards embracing her power and fearlessness, ensuring that every reproductive journey is not just beautiful but profoundly empowering.”
